Statement by NUTRITECH Management

OPEN LETTER TO OUR CLIENTS: COVID-19 UPDATE

Dear NUTRITECH Clients,

During these unprecedented times we wanted to reach out and update you on our response to the COVID-19 situation.

The NUTRITECH manufacturing facility and online store will remain open during the National shutdown, classed under the food & essential products categories, which relates to manufacturing, processing and distribution in order to ensure that the people of South Africa remain well-nourished to combat the spread of Covid19, under the order of the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition. NUTRITECH and our courier, Dawnwing, have all relevant documentation required by the SAPS and SANDF and have been granted authority to continue manufacture and supply of essential products during this period and will be following all required procedures.

Stay at home, order products online, and stay safe:

The NUTRITECH online store will be open during the shutdown, but only for essential products such as vitamins, dietary supplements, functional foods and beverages. We have changed to Dawnwing couriers over this period in order to successfully fulfill your orders.

Non-essential products on the NUTRITECH online store will not be for sale and will be deactivated as such. We are constantly adapting to exactly what products are classed as essential and non-essential and will update this store continuously.

NUTRITECH began to initiate proactive measures several weeks ago to deal with the challenges arising from this evolving situation. Coronaviruses are generally thought to be spread from person-to-person. There is no evidence to support transmission of COVID-19 associated with food or dietary supplements, and our products remain safe for consumption. We will continue to monitor and adhere to government guidelines and recommendations of the the National Institute for Communicable Diseases, S.A. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO), as the safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority.

MAINTAINING INDUSTRY LEADING QUALITY

NUTRITECH continues to maintain the highest quality standards and good manufacturing practices, including operator hygiene and sanitation of production equipment and environments.

STAYING FIT

Staying fit is more important than ever and it is a great way to remain not only physically strong but mentally strong. We know many of you have been impacted by closures of gyms and cancellations of group sporting activities. To help support new home fitness routines, we have made free home workout downloads available online and will be partnering with athletes and trainers to publish home workouts on our social media platforms.
